Sit back and let us show you how to get the best out of Piranesi with our tutorial movies. The movies
take you through some of the key features of Piranesi, and show you how to use these features in
combination to generate particular painting effects.
More detailed scripted tutorials are provided with the Piranesi product.
If you have purchased Piranesi 3 then you can work through these tutorials for yourself. For each tutorial
you can download the epix files, and any textures and styles that are not already provided on your Piranesi
CD. These are supplied as a zip file which you should extract to a convenient folder of your choice. Use the
Library/Open command in the Style Browser to make the new styles available.
More tutorials, and Mac version, will soon be available.

Using Piranesi Locks
Locks are fundamental to Piranesi. Using locks, you can restrict your painting actions to particular
materials or 3D planes, without the need to define masks.

Using the Style Browser
The style browser enables you to develop an effect, then save all the relevant toolbox settings for future
reuse. Piranesi ships with a large range of ready-made effects, which you can summon via the style browser.

Surface Textures
This video shows you how to use raster files to add textures to the surfaces in your scene, tweaking and blending
as necessary until the desired effect is achieved

Cutouts
Using Piranesi you can quickly add "cutouts" - such as people, trees and plants - to a scene. Perspective,
masking, and even shadows are all generated automatically.
