Piranesi is a specialised '3D painting' tool, allowing you to start with a simple rendering of your Autodesk® Architectural Desktop,
Autodesk Building Systems or Autodesk Civil 3D model,
and quickly develop it into high quality images ready for client presentations.
You can use Piranesi to quickly develop
photorealistic images, by painting in textures and scenery with automatic perspective and masking;
or you can use Piranesi's wealth of effects to generate non-photorealistic images that have a more subtle, hand-rendered feel
and focus the client's mind of what is important in the design.
You can even use Piranesi to generate Panoramas.
You can use Viz Render to render directly from some versions of
ADT, ABS or Civil 3D into a Piranesi format file, using the
plug-ins below. See the Read Me files for further instructions.
Some recent Autodesk products no longer include Viz Render so a plug-in
is not available. In this case, you can use Autodesk VIZ with our VIZ plug-in. Another way is to download Autodesk's
3DSOUT utility so you
can open your model in Vedute, then save it as an EPix file for Piranesi.
