News - Press Release
Cambridge, UK – 17th November 2009, Informatix Software International, the authors of MicroGDS and Piranesi, showcased the latest versions of both these key products at their UK Customer User Group on Thursday last, November 12th. These product releases being the most significant announcements relating to the company‘s current kernel software offerings to have been made in the last 6 years.
Looking positively to the future Informatix also presented a detailed roadmap for the development of a new range of Build Lifecycle Management (BLM) solutions. These BLM solutions providing a single source of reference for all relevant data (graphical, visual, numerical, and textual) on the infrastructure and usage of a build, from concept through occupation and on to final demolition.
“In the spectacular setting of the Lord's Cricket Ground Media Centre, the chance to meet with the new management team and developers at Informatix was an opportunity not to be missed. The highlights of the User Group meeting were the Piranesi 6 and MicroGDS 11 demonstrations, giving a tantalising glimpse of the Building Lifecycle Management concept that is intended to take us beyond BIM. The new releases potentially put even greater power into the hands of the users (but come with much improved management tools to help administrators keep control where needed.) These new versions also lay strong foundations for the integration of the Informatix product family and it will be fascinating to see how this vision develops over the next few releases” said delegate John Warburton, Principal Architect of Pixelorchard.
Informatix also announced as part of its continuing growth plans for mainland Europe the opening of a new office in Paris, France
