A purpose built solid modeller provides a simple to use set of commands for constructing 3D objects.
MicroGDS is designed to make it easy for you to start with a 2D drawing and then build up the 3D model from
it - the 2D and 3D objects, primitives, and operations are fully integrated.
All products in the MicroGDS range feature hidden-line and hidden-surface rendering for your 3D models.
MicroGDS Pro and Compact3D users get the additional benefit of a full set of boolean solid modelling commands,
and a comprehensive texture library to create effects such as wood, stone, and glass. Fully integrated photo-realistic
rendering is available, with an unlimited number of lights of six different types, plus background, atmosphere,
transparency and reflectivity effects.
MicroGDS Pro and Compact3D can also render direct to EPix format, ready for working into final presentation images
using our acclaimed Piranesi product,
and to other popular formats including QuickTime® VR movies.
