There are no boundaries to the size and complexity of project that MicroGDS can handle. Double precision arithmetic
allows you to model an area of 100,000 Kilometres accurate to .001 mm.
You have complete control over how objects and layers are selected and drawn on each drawing, and drawings
can reference other drawings via the 'Photo' facility. Linestyles, character fonts, symbol libraries - all can be centralised
and/or managed on a per project or per drawing basis, as your working practices require. The Document Organizer
provides an easy-to-use, explorer-style user interface to your drawing elements, complete with drag-and-drop support.
The MicroGDS Plus and Pro product versions come complete with a sophisticated ability to manage projects where
many users need simultaneous access to the data. Each layer of each model or drawing is held as a separate file.
A project database tracks the location of these files, and manages the file 'locks' to ensure that everything works
smoothly even if two users try to edit the same file at the same time. You can organise the files into folders and
directories that suit your working practices - even across physically remote sites!
All products come ready equipped for the Internet. Objects can be browsed and copied across the World Wide
Web, and for 2D and 3D web publishing you can export your drawings and models in SVF, DWF, VRML/2 and XML formats.
