    Default cutout and shadow problems

    Hi there -
I am quite new to piranesi 5. The problem I encounter that I can't get it to apply shadows on cutouts. Not even after having read tutorials, looking at videos etc. CRAZY. I do what the tutorials tell me, but it don't work.
Same thing with size of cutouts. They remain the same by moving them around in the pic. I have set the 'model size', thats ok. But the size of cutout don't change in perspective.

What is the difference to create an epx file from an image file in 'plane view' or in 'elevation view'?

would be nice if someone could help me out.
    thanks a lot.
    kind regards from brazil

To create an Epix file with Perspective, you need to use either Vedute or your modelling application.

Which modelling application are you using?

    Thanks for answering.
I am modeling with sketchup, there I take a pic ( jpg file ), and then I open this pic in piranesi.

    ok. thanks.
    there is one more thing.
I am rendering the sketchup model with the shaderlight plugin. this render I save as jpg pic, and then open it in piranesi.

Ok you won't be able to use Shaderlight to create the epix. Try creating Epix direct from Sketchup and then import the image from Shader light into PIranesi afterwar
