    Default The past re-created

    My wife is researching her ancestry and in the process she tracked down a site where some of her past relations lived. Virtually nothing remains of the original cottages but MicroGDS came to the rescue. Using contemporary photos of the time (1880’s) and very old maps I have been able to recreate the likely appearance of the cottages for her. The image is being used as information to others in the widely spread clan .. 
    Yet another use for MicroGDS .. historical recreations.

    It looks like a photo-montage. The grass is part of a photograph that establishes the location, with the building modelled in matching perspective and inserted into the photo.
