CINEMA 4D EPix Writer May 2008 ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// This text file describes how you add the EPix file plug-in to CINEMA 4D. The plug-in enables CINEMA 4D R10.5 to write Extended Pixel format files (EPix files) suitable for use by Piranesi from Informatix Software International Limited. It should not be used with earlier versions of CINEMA 4D. The plug-in works under both Windows and Mac OS X. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// To use the EPix writer: 1) Unzip epixwriter.zip into your CINEMA 4D Plugins folder. Make sure you select the option to use the folder names in the archive if you are given a choice. This should create a folder epixwriter containing three files (epixwriter.cdl, epixwriter.dylib and EpixWriter.cdl64) and a subfolder res. Please note that the plugin will not work if the files in the "res" subfolder are placed directly in the epixwriter folder. 2) Restart CINEMA 4D. 3) Adjust the Render Settings: Add the Epix Writer Post Effect Set Antialiasing to None Specify the image size Optionally specify a path in the Save section 4) Render to the Picture Viewer. The EPix writer will produce an EPix file for each frame rendered. If a Save path is specified, the EPix file will be written to the same folder using the filename with a frame number and a .epx extension added, otherwise it will be written next to the scene file, using its name with a frame number and the .epx extension added. The EPix Writer cannot produce EPix files for oblique parallel projections, such as the Frog camera. ========== Disclaimer ========== The Software is being delivered to you AS IS and Informatix Software International Limited (Informatix) makes no warranty as to its use or performance.
